I am so sorry!! My stepdaughters lost their home in March to a house fire and lost everything. It is a devastating thing to go through and they are finally on their feet again after months. You will get through this! People are so open to donating clothes and everyday items. Start with that. Let me know I you need anything. We may have extra clothes for you!

We had a house fire about 5 years ago. Our dryer went on fire. I was at work and DH was home. He was sitting in the den(next to laundry room) and saw smoke coming out of the outlet on the shared wall. He (stupidly) opened the door and saw the whole room on fire. we had a hard wired alarm so when he got himself and the dogs out there was already a volunteer there. Insurance handled the whole thing and they had to rebuild the garage and laundry room down to the studs. They also sent Servpro to clean our house from top to bottom. The whole thing took about 2 months, the cleanup started the next day or two. Best of luck. So sorry about your dogs

about your dogs - I'm so sad to hear that!
I don't have any experience, but I saw this company (Belfor) on Undercover Boss and they do home clean- ups. I imagine your insurance company is the best place to start and for what to do.

many prayers to you. so sorry for the loss of your dogs and your kitchen. i just lost my dog and i know how hard it is. esp when it was so quick .
as far as your kitchen a friend from liw had a fire in her kitchen and she rebuilt.

I would advise a private adjustor to work on your behalf. Insurance should cover your remodel and a rental for you.
I'm so sorry for your family.

I was told sometimes a private adjuster puts the insurance company on the defensive. I'd wait before you call them and see how the insurance company handles the situation.

I haven't dealt with a fire, but I did recently have a flood. Final Touch Restoration was the contractor I used to fix everything. They were AWESOME! Their number is 696-4737. Tell George, Darlene recommended them.
