1. yes i would be fine with that; don't think it's contagious anymore and they could feel sick for a month or more 2. yes; could be exposed to more germs touching money or doorknobs or shopping carts

Personally, yes, I think you are being too cautious. BUT- only you know your comfort levels.
Common colds and viruses don't scare me anymore- both my kids have had everything and they're fine.

I personally wouldn't want someone watching my child who was sick with a bad cold.
I'm not sure I would be as concerned if an adult interacted with a sick infant and showed no signs of illness.

They generally don't scare me either. They do now b/c I am pregnant and a SAHM so whatever DS gets most likely I am too - and I really do not want to have to take antibiotics or worse (tamiflu) which is why I have become like this
I don't know, if you're a SAHM and don't NEED someone to watch DS and feel more comfortable not exposing him to germs, then maybe skip it.

Guess what I will say?
NO AND NO
If you feel uneasy, I would go with that. You have very very good reasons to be concerned.

I was 9 months pregnant this time last year, so I understand. I was/am also working in an elementary school so I was always concerned about exposing myself and my kid(s) to something. In the long run though- getting sick is just a part of life.

Re: Please tell me how you would feel in these situations...
Well first, I think you could never be too cautious for you. It's your DC and you do what feels best.
For me personally, I'd say yes to both 1 and 2.
Having said that.... 1. My mom and three siblings all live within 5 miles so we're full of alternatives. and 2. I have been that sick person babysitting for them so if they trust me that I'm not too sick, the I'd trust them.
And I'm not offended if my services have been turned down while sick.
