POLL: Do you have road rage?

Thought this poll might be fun.

For me, it depends on how much the other driver pizzes me off...

I curse and yell at them from the comfort of my car (with the windows/sunroof closed)

I actually gave someone the finger last weekend after he nearly hit us TWICE in 5 minutes..and he looked at ME like we were responsible. DH was driving BTW.

I don't have road rage. I am almost afraid to honk my horn now-a-days. One time a guy tried going straight in the left turning lane and nearly hit me as I was going straight (in the correct lane). I honked at him more so to say "watch out, please don't hit me", I just did a double beep-beep, I did not lay on the horn. He was gesturing at me in his rear view mirror for a while until I turned off the road. I was driving along and the next thing I knew he comes flying up the block to chase after my car. Every time I stopped at a stop sign he would try to get on the side of me. I would move before he would get a chance to, but he was driving very aggressively and still gesturing. I had never been so scared in my life! I fumbled for my cell phone and drove to a populated area and began driving to the police station. I figured if he followed me and tried anything, I'd rather it be around police. I was so nervous...I should have just called police at that point, but I was blowing stop signs at this point to try to avoid confrontation. I sware on a stack of bibles I did just a little beep-beep to avoid an accident...not that even if I did lay on the horn it would make that behavior acceptable. Finally I was able to make a left turn onto Jericho Turnpike and he couldn't, so he knew he could not chase me anymore.

Anyway, that's my story. There are some crazy freaks out there, so I just try to drive defensively and keep my blood pressure low.

DH is another story though...

I mostly yell and wave my hands around, but with the windows up. I don't beep my horn really.

Apparently I do. Some of you may remember how I got pulled over by a cop in the middle of December for flipping the bird to someone who cut me off. I thought I was going to get a ticket for the use of my horn but it was a stern warning (no ticket issued) that I shouldn't be giving the finger to anyone - much less in the dangerous and crime-ridden neighborhood I work in. People have been known to get out of cars and intimidate or assault. It was stupid of me to do what I did. I could have gotten myself and my passenger hurt.

I used to have BAD road rage. I don't know if I told this story here but this girl cut me off and had some nice words to say to me. So I threw a chicken nugget at her ( I was eating my lunch ) and it hit her in the cheek. Her look was priceless and I just drove away.

id never do anything to anyone but I definitely have a lot to say from inside my car.

I do alot of cursing! And I admit, I use alot of sign language, too....

It just gets me crazy when these pricks cut me off because I'm not driving 90mph, or when they tailgate, or not let me merge onto the highway.......

THAT IS THE FUNNIEST THING I EVER HEARD!

I get like a nut. The other day a woman flew into the turning lane and decided to cut me off and go straight instead, she kept trying to cut everyone off and then while i was flailing my arms and cursing like a crazy lady in my car, she actually opened her window and started staring at me. I know i should be careful b/c there are so many nuts on the road, but i cant help it.

I had horrible road rage for a while there. After I had DS, I got better, but still needed to learn how to deal with it. I'm MUCH more calm now. I still have my moments were I flip people off though.

i used to but as i've gotten older i've learned to calm down more. i try to give people the benefit of the doubt that they may be having a bad day or are late for a meeting or something. DH on the other hand ...

yes, but I scream and curse to myself, or I pretend I'm scratching the side of my face using my middle finger when the azzhole cuts me off.

I don't have road rage - it's totally not worth it - but I talk to myself as if I were the moron driver.

Ex: Someone cuts me off and I mutter to myself (whether or not someone's in the car with me) "Here's a good idea, I think I'm just going to move into the left lane with no signal or anything and drive even slower because there is noone else on the road but me."

That's my form of venting.

I'm the worst. My husband gets scared to drive with me that someone is gonna get out of their cars one of these days and come after me....
