POst partum bleeding or period?! tmi

i was 6 weeks pp on monday. Thought pp bleeding was almost gone since I've only had a little bit of brown spotting since 5 weeks pp.

However, I woke up on wednesday with bright red bleeding and have been having it ever since.

This can't be my period...can it? I'm breastfeeding and pumping.

How long did your pp bleeding last and did it come and go like this?

If it matters, I had a big baby 9 lbs 1 oz.

I thought the same thing and it was my period.
I didn't think it could be my period that soon..
Sure enogh- it was!

I didn't BF but I know others who have and still got their period back that soon- so it's possible!

It definitely *could* be your period- unfortunately, BF doesn't stop ovulation for everyone. However, when I had my first, I bled heavily for about 5.5 weeks, then had close to a week of just light spotting, and then it got heavy again for about another week or so. I didn't get my period back till 11 months PP.
