Even when its 90 degrees out, I HAVEEEEE to wear a blanket or at least a sheet.
I think in my weirdo mind, if a robber came into our apartment, he wouldn't be able to shoot me or see me if I am under some kind of sheet or covering!
Oh man, I feel so vulnerable letting my craziness out!
I am the same way. Even when I was living in Italy with 100+ degree temperatures and no fan - i had to AT LEAST have my feet covered with a sheet. . .obviously so no one could grab them while I was sleeping.

Bon, I'm so with you there... even if my feet are hanging out I won't be able to fall asleep.. all because of a robber coming in and grabbing them or knowing I'm there.... although, I do have a whole escape plan if that were to ever happen... I even keep an extra collar and leash in the bedroom for Cooper *just in case*.... so sad!

Re: post your most ridiculous and embarassing fear here!!
mice! It's ridiculous how much I fear them.
I'm embrassed to say, I actually ran out of a store leaving my 5 yr old behind because a mouse ran out in front of me. Screaming all the way to the door "a mouse a mouse"
My daughter thought and still to this day thinks it was the funniest thing she ever saw.
I experienced another full on panic attack when one was in a house I rented w/my mother about 5 yrs ago. I cried for hours until someone was able to catch it

Re: post your most ridiculous and embarassing fear here!!
I'm afraid of escalators. I always hesitate before getting on one.
And I ALWAYS have to hold on to the railing, no matter how many gross germs and cooties are on it.
My husband will dance around on the one in front of me, knowing full well I just wish he'd hold on and look forward and behave like a normal person.

I'm afraid of getting fat and would prefer to adopt a baby so I don't have to worry about losing pregnancy weight
I am afraid of ALL pregnancy related "side effects".
Sad but true.
I was thinking today about the intense fear I have to stretch marks on my stomach and the loss of boob shape.
i am not necessarily afraid of getting "Fat" b/c I know I will starve to death/work my *** off to lose the weight....
my concern is more for those things that diet and exercise cannot help.
It's awful and I feel guilty and terribly that I think this way...but I do.
I am vain. VAIN VAIN VAIN.
(thank you LB...btw)
Thank God someone else is with me on this! I was so afraid of posting that and getting flamed

OMG i have an emergency leash in my nightstand! and another "spare" that I ALWAYS keep on the stairs ( In case i forget the first one on my way out ) But that is bc I am petrified of fires.
But, if I get freaked out at night I will open up the drawer to make sure the leash is closeby.
oh yes and I always have clothes to grab too on a chair by the side of my bed. Like, if I wear a cami set to bed I have a pair of sweats and a shirt on teh chair in case I have to run out.

(for ophelia, as requested )
i am ashamed to admit that i am afraid of giving birth to an ugly baby
there i said it!!
who is next?
OMG!! I'm not even pregnant and I obsess over this!! My mom says "All babies are beautiful."
Yeah right- we've all seen the baby or child that makes us go
I'm terrified!
Oh, I also have a silly fear of revolving doors. I HATE them and I HATE when places lock the "regular" doors and make you use the revolving ones.

Seaweed
For some strange reason I have an amazing phobia of seaweed. If it touches me in the ocean, I have a full on panic attack and begin to hyperventilate and cry. Its stupid I know--but its a fear.
I rarely go into the water for this reason.
I grew up on the water, swimming in the bay and seaweed has always freaked me out!

I have an irrational fear of banks. I'm always afraid it will be robbed while I'm there. I do as much banking online and at ATMs as possible!
