Potty training moms
Are you guys using a fun potty?? Do you think it helps the process?? Right now I am just using a Dora seat that sits on top of the toilet.

Re: Potty training moms
We used a plain green and white potty, and a seat that goes over the regular potty. I don't think an interesting potty would have done much for him one way or the other. DS is very stubborn, and has to do things on his terms, so it did take a while.
However, if it helps, hey, why not use one?

Re: Potty training moms
not officially training but we have the same Dora potty. Roman loves Dora so he puts it on and off the toilet himself and stares down at it naming Dora, boots, backpack. I like that it goes straight to the toilet without having to rinse anything. A quick clorox wipe to the seat and we're good to go.

Re: Potty training moms
I had a little potty that looked like a regular toilet, and he never used it. Besides that, I didn't want to have to clean the poop and pee out of it. So we bought a ring to go on the real toilet and that helped and worked well with my DS.

Re: Potty training moms
i just use the toilet seat cover for DD.. we had a potty that played music etc.. but she thought it was a toy so that didnt work.. ive heard people say that when they trained their DC to use a potty chair they had to re-train them when it was time for them to use the real toilet. so i decided to bypass that whole thing and she does great on the real toilet with her cover on it.

Re: Potty training moms
I have one of those fun pottys, but Julia isn't intrested in it, she loves to take her diaper off and sit on it but thats about it. I'm trying to have her sit on the potty seat on the toilet but she has this fear of falling in--lol I'm just going to have her do it when shes ready.
