pregnancy and dogs
Lately my dog has been up my a$$ to say the least. She was acting mushy for a few weeks now and after getting bfp I put 2 and 2 together but she won't leave me alone, she follows me around the house and leans on me constantly to pet her (which 100 pound lean is not a good thing).. Anyone else's pet act like this? I was already pregnant last time when we got her at 8 weeks old so I didn't have to go through this then. Just curious if this is going to last the whole 9 months..

Re: pregnancy and dogs
My 2 pugs definitely sense something is going on. My one is up my butt constantly, but if I don't pay attention to her 24/7, she misbehaves, ripping up her bed, climbs on my cofee table and knocks everything off, tries to tear the pillows on the couch, she has been a living nightmare since I'm pregnant. My other one is more loving and puts her head on my belly, it's the cutest, but she is still her lay back self. She was never so loving before.

Re: pregnancy and dogs
My chocolate lab definitely knows we are expecting. It took her a few months to figure it out but she follows me everywhere, up the stairs, down the stairs, in the bathroom, sleeps on the floor next to me on the couch. It is cute, but sometimes I am like "Get out of my way!!!!!!" It is nice that she is trying to protect me.

Re: pregnancy and dogs
My cat has slept on my belly (and kneads it too) every night since BFP. I swear she knew before I knew...

I also have a pug and she's always been my tail. Wherever I am you will find her. She even waits for me outside the bathroom door!
I worry she won't know how to detach a bit when the baby arrives because for 7 years she's been the only baby!
