PSA & My Scariest Mommy Moment Ever!!!
I am still so freaked out about this. And I was so scared I actually threw up
Alexa has been sleeping in the Moses Basket at night because she hates everywhere else to sleep. So fine, I put her sleep positioner in there to make her feel more secure and then the Moses Basket came with a swaddling type semi heavy fleece blanket that ties around her.
All has been working fantastic. She has been sleeping at over 5 hr intervals at night and doesn't move so why think anything could happen.
Well all of a sudden at 6:45am I woke up with a sick feeling out of a dead sleep and thought she has been very quite.
I look in and she had somehow slipped all the way underneath the blanket to the bottom. Her whole face, body was underneath. I immediately freaked out and went to touch her to see if she was alive She looked awful. And she was so weak and super hot.
I pulled her out and gave her the binkie and kept rocking her and touching her to snap her out of it and now she is fine. She is on my lap right now. I don't think I am going to put her down today.
I am still so emotional about this. So emotional that I actually made myself sick.
I thank God and all her other Angels that are watching over her

Re: PSA & My Scariest Mommy Moment Ever!!!
why are you using a sleep positioner too. thats too much for a young baby. i would ditch the blanket and sleep positioner. can you try putting her in a crib. i had my kids in cribs from day 1 with no blanket and no sleep positioner.

Re: PSA & My Scariest Mommy Moment Ever!!!
I always used the sleep positioner with Andrew and she sleeps better with it.
I thought the blanket thing would be ok because it ties around her and she doesn't move. I still don't know how she wiggled all the way down there.
She hates her crib. I think maybe she feels lost in it right now.
I am going to go to the store today and get a swaddle me. The sleep blankets scare me too. I bought one and it kept going over her face. It was the smallest one they made
I can't wait until she is less delicate and then on the same hand I don't want her to grow up.
I forgot how hard it was to have a newborn

Re: PSA & My Scariest Mommy Moment Ever!!!
By the way you are explaining it, I would have thought all was ok with that set up too!
We used a sleep positioner until we stopped swaddling (11 weeks). And we only stopped swaddling because he was breaking out of it trying to suck his hands.
We used the Sleepsack with Swaddle from BRU (BBB has it too). Loved it!!
Glad she is ok

totally agree, i still use the sleep positioner, i see nothing wrong with it whatsoever..... blankets on the otherhand i used until i realized i had a baby that was a mover and a shaker like urs...lol....so the blanket came out and i used the swaddleme and now a sleepsack....still dont use a blanket bc of that one time
