Do you know how much formula we go through, how do I know it wasn't in a container I just used! I am so sick of all these companies and their recalls. It seems like nothing is safe anymore.

OMG I am going to be ill. DD has never had powdered Similac but what's to say this couldn't happen to Enfamil, or even Target (which we just started using)?

ugh mine was recalled! thats disgusting!!!!!! maybe this is why ds has been spitting up so much lately!??!?!?!?!? i am horrified!!!!

Exactly!!!! it's not like I save the cans once I'm done with them.
My DD was on Similiac, but my DS is not. This was forwarded to me from my local Moms group.

And if they are in the recall and we have to go out tonight to get formula to replace it, how do we know if THAT formula is compromised?

I just looked, we can rtf - which my DD will not drink - she refuses and throws up, or the single serve packs. Which I'm sure I'll pay an arm and a leg for.

Just freaking great! Similac Sensitive is the ONLY thing that won't make DS throw up! I've tried amost every brand out there & this was the best for him.
I'm sick of these companies.

what do I do now??
I have a bottle of RTF i will use for now.. is there a brand alternative we can use?

I just called their customer service number. Yes, they will reimburse us for completely used containers. Unfortunately, there is nothing they will do about containers you don't have since they want you to actually send back the containers to them. They will send you a Fed Ex pre-paid package. It will take 4-6 weeks to get reimbursed by them. Or you can try to return them to the store you got them at.
Apparently this recall only happened a couple of hours ago. They said that ALL powder formula should be off the shelves until further notice. The only thing you can get now is the liquid and they are woking on getting stores to adjust the price so that it is equal to the power cost.

Oh, it gets better.... just called the supermarket where I got the formula and they haven't heard about the recall yet.... so they still have it out on their shelves!
