Training pants/pull ups? Moms of toddlers...
When did you start training pants/pull ups instead of diapers? Why? What brand do you use?

Re: Training pants? Moms of toddlers...
We started potty traind DS at 2 and a half. However, we never bought training diapers. Instead, I bought the absorbable underwear from Target. DS felt like he was a big boy and it seemed to work since it didnt take too long to train him. I felt that he wouldnt find that there was a difference between the regular diapers and the training ones. The onlu thing ws the absorbable underwear did not soak up as much as the diapers so I always was on alert for potty time.

Re: Training pants? Moms of toddlers...
We used pull-ups for DS... they are just diapers that he can pull up. Maybe it's because he just didn't care, but he acted like they were regular diapers. We're not going to bother with them for DD when she's ready....

Re: Training pants/pull ups? Moms of toddlers...
We are in the process of training and I'm just using regular diapers and when he goes on the potty as long as the diaper is still clean I just put it back on. I believe most diapers now are velcrow. Pull up or diapers wouldn't matter because when my son goes on the potty he has to take everything completely off before sitting

we may use them when the time comes...Aly is BIG into this "do it myself" stage and I think pulling htme on and off herself might make her feel like a big girl

When we started potty training (Joseph - 2 years old; Maddie 15 months old)
I used Huggies for no particular reason at all.
I did it because for them to take off a diaper on their own is too hard.

Re: Training pants/pull ups? Moms of toddlers...
I started pull ups on Jake in September (2 years and 2 months).
Why - because daycare required it. (I personally was not quite ready )
I use Huggies with the tear away sides.
Now he requests pull ups instead of diapers.

Re: Training pants/pull ups? Moms of toddlers...
I did not use pull-ups for a long time, just once we started training - only for the fact that it was easier to get up and down when using the potty. He knew they were just like a diaper and would pee in them because it was just easier! Once we went to underwear, he was trained in less than 3 days.
ETA: I used what ever I had a coupon for
