Frankly, a tangible acknowledgement at the time of a child's birth, to me is NO different than a tangible gift on each and every Mother's Day. If my husband wants to buy me something and can afford to do so, he will. If he cannot, I would not think any less of him. It is his joy to be able to do things for me.

I want a matching wallet and makeup bag to go with my baby bag - our 3 year wedding anniversary is less the a week after my due date so I told him he can make it a combo gift.

My best present- besides the baby of course- will be having my body back, my old wardrobe back, and being able to drink booze again.
That's all I want. And it's a good thing too- because my husband would laugh in my face if I asked for a present for giving birth to our child.

DS is 11 months old today and I'm still waiting on mine 
BTW... he claims b/c I had a c-section it shouldn't count since I didn't actually push. He's a wisea**

lol my husband was the same way when I mentioned what a push present was.
With all the added expenses we are about to endure with the birth of this child - I can do without a "push" present.
I'll just take an easy way back to work out mode, losing the weight faster & feeling good about my body again over a push present.

I'm getting a David Yurman bracelet. BUT my 5 yr anniversary is 5/15, then there's mother's day and thats all around when I will be having the baby. So its really 3 presents in one.

I just want my DH to be there with me and in good health when I give birth.
I didn't ask for anything the first time either... not that I have any objections to push presents, because I don't. I just have expensive taste but without the budget to back it up.
