Question for moms with preemies that are now toddlers.
My ds son was born at 34 weeks. He had no breathing issues at birth, but did spend 10 days in the nicu. Now he is 3 1/2 and has had pneumonia every winter since he's been born. I was wondering if other preemie children have this issue. I can't help but wonder if this is happening because he was a preemie.

Re: Question for moms with preemies that are now toddlers.
DD was born at 32 weeks.
She was on the vent for less then a day, due to breathing issues.
However, she has never had any pnemonia, or breathing related illness.
Hope your little one feels better soon

Re: Question for moms with preemies that are now toddlers.
My babies were born at 26 wks 5 days and KNOCK ON WOOD...ever since they left the hospital, they haven't gotten really sick or had breathing issues. They are now 10 months old. My son had more problems than DD. He was on the vent and cpap for a few days...than on nasal cannula for about 2 months.
