Milk Question for moms of toddlers

I remember alot of toddler moms saying their child no longer has bedtime milk. We've been doing it b/c Ellie's not a big milk drinker during the day and my Dr. is concerned, but I'm curious if we did change our bedtime routine and do milk at dinner let's say what happens at bathtime? Do you do your bath after dinner and find that they have accidents and pee in the tub? which would be my fear. B/c if I have her sit and have her milk with dinner or just after then I'd be expecting a lot of pee b/w then and bedtime. Just curious what your experiences are before I try changing it up. Thanks!

Ryan has milk with dinner and then a bath. He rarely pees in the tub and has never pooped in the tub.

Ella sometimes drinks milk before bed (while I'm reading to her). She also gets a bath after dinner, and has never pooped in the tub. I haven't noticed her pee either, but thats tougher to spot Chat Icon

why is your doctor concerned about milk before bed?

Re: Milk Question for moms of toddlers

Neither of my kids had milk before bed since they gave up bottles on thier first birthday. They have a cup of milk with dinner and that's usually it for the night. If they are thirsty, they get a sip of water...

I've never spotted Lauren peeing in the tub, and I'm sure she has, but I still stand her up when she's done, soap her down and spray rinse her with the shower head anyway.

My son is potty trained at night and I have no idea if that's because he doesn't drink after dinner, but I am sure it helps.

The dr. isn't concerned about milk b4 bed just about how low her total milk intake was so we never cut out bedtime b/c that is when she drinks the most.

hannah still gtes a bottle of milk at night and sometimes in the morning for the same reason. if i put it in a cup she doesnt drink it at all. i would rather her have the milk right now. so we give her milk b4 bed while i read her a story.

DS still gets a sippy cup of milk before bed. He eats dinner kinda early for him that to be his drink of the night.
