a small 15person agency didnt
and my current 200 employee company doesnt but in the kitchen where they give us coffee they have paper towels, and paper napkins which you could take to use

My company provides them. It used to be the scatchy kind but now there's kleenex brand.

Mine never did in the 10 years I worked there, but last spring our office manager bought a case because everyone was sneezing all over the place, but he didn't replenish the supply.
My aunt said her company did, but they went out of business, so maybe you shouldn't order them!

none of my companies that i have worked for supplied them. they have supplied lysol to kill germs in one office. usually the person who brought in their own tissues were used by everyone.

In my old job, no.
Current job, yes but it's really for my customers not because of the employees.

I am so glad i posted this question, everyone is always sooo Helpful.
I wasnt going to purchase them, but i think when i go to BJ's on friday i will get a case, and see what happens, see how long they last and if people take them home etc.
Maybe I can get them just for the winter season.
I do feel bad for everyone who is not feeling well, and when one person gets sick, everyone gets sick. Its a small office about 14 people.

I have never seen an office buying tissues. Personally I need about 4 large boxes per Winter (or more if I have a cold). I would cost a company a fortune and I am not the only employee. Imagine if you have 100 employees. That's 400 boxes of tissues.
Let the employee supply their own tissue. TP is essential. The rest is not.

Every place I've worked has supplied tissues. It's the standard issue kind at Staples. No lotion or super softness added.

Same for us. I actually never even thought of us not having tissues available for employees - seeing others responses above I can see it really isn't necessary, but I think that it could potentially help prevent the spreading of germs, which is always a good thing in an office where having people sick can mean people being out, loss of productivity, etc.
Then again, it's probably very easy to have employees buy their OWN tissues instead of purchasing them - I've seen the invoices and it can add up (we have about 50 employees).

Where I currently work does but at my last office, they didn't. When I was a health care professional, tissues were always supplied. I don't see what the big deal is. If it's something that small to make your employees happy, then do it. I couldn't stand that my former employers would nickel and dime over b.s. like that...although we did have top notch white out!

My office does supply them, but I bring my own because the ones they supply are not soft. If I run out of the ones I brought I will take the ones the office supplies until I bring in my own box again.

I work in a school and the tissues are really small and thin and I need to get a new box about once a week but yes, I suppose they do supply them!
