Re: Really gross question about mucus plug. Enter at your own risk.

i started losing my plug at 36 weeks and didn't go into labor until 39 weeks, 4 days.

BUT it didn't come out all in one glob, it was like little pieces of snot every now and then (OMG, SO MUCH TMI Chat Icon ).

AND i didn't have any blood with it - never saw blood the whole pregnancy until the "bloody show" - which happened like 45 minutes before labor started.

so i would think that because you lost it all in one shot and had a little blood, that this is more of a "sign" for you. i'd be prepared to go soon - in the next few days at the most!!

I have had mucousy stuff after internals.

I DEF lost my plug between last night and this am. It wasnt brown or bloody in any way and looked like a giant clear slug. SO GROSS.

This morning I had another bit of slugness.

hard to say. I don't think I ever lost my plug but I did have a lot of discharge after my first internal.

I lost my plug and went into labor a couple days later.

My doctor did say though it could be several weeks even though before labor begins......

It sounds like it. We just talked about it at my birthing class Monday. For some people it's so light they just think it's their regular discharge, but for you it sounds like it was a decent amount! At the class they said it means you're going to go into labor in 3-4 days.

Yeah, this was not like the thicker discharge i had after my other internals.... PLUS, I already had that yesterday. And I actually described the amount exactly how some web sites did before I even looked anything up, so I assume it was the whole thing.

I am trying to determine if what I feel is my normal discomfort, or potentially the start of something. Since I don't know, there is probably no real action going on.

I just got my car cleaned to get ready to install the car seat, filled up the tank, got some extra cash and got a mani/pedi. I have my bags packed already, so I am pretty much ready. There is always more I could do, but for now-- I am just going to chill til DH gets home.

Anyway, stay tuned. I am sure I'll end up being induced at 42 weeks! That would be typical.

Sounds like your plug. That's exactly how it started for me - it came out in globs over a couple of days and then I went into labor Chat Icon

I lost mine in it's entirety the day that I was in labor with Ashley. I definitely knew what it was when I saw it!
