Replacing keyless car ignition key
How do you replace this? Do you go to the dealer?

Replacing keyless car ignition key
I heard they're very expensive to replace - my cousin paid $400 for a key like this.

This doesn't surprise me. I had to pay around $145 to replace my honda pilot key.

The ones that are an actual chip key can be done at most hardware stores or a locksmith. The keyless ones like the new Nissans and Jeeps have to come from the dealer. IS it a key or just the remote type?

It's a keyless one for a Jeep.

Unfortunately, you'll have to go to the dealer for that one. the price will be pretty steep too. Sorry :( if it was a regular chip key I could help you out but the technology is still too new on those keys.
