rolling onto belly and going to sleep
DD now rolls back to belly almost as soon as you put her down on her back. FOr her nap today we tried to just put her in a sleep sack instead of being swaddle but she rolled right over onto her belly and then started crying. She doesn't know how to sleep on her belly. How can we help her with this??? We need to start breaking her of the swaddle habit because she keeps busting out of it and then waking up at night. Please help!!

Re: rolling onto belly and going to sleep
Is she more comfortable on her belly? Because if she is, and she can roll back and forth, then you really can't do much to change it anymore

no, she's not comfier on her belly, that's the problem. she can't help rolling over but then she doesn't know what to do with herself when she's on her belly.

Re: rolling onto belly and going to sleep
At first Dylan didn't sleep well once he learned how to roll. I think he just didn't feel comfortable until he learned to roll back the other way. He used to cry on his stomach for a few weeks. Once he learned to roll from tummy to back he started sleeping on his tummy. Strange but thats the only way he sleeps now.
