Scheduled my HSG - what to expect?
Today is CD1 for me so I have now officially planned out the next 2 wks of my life! Oh how fun
Thursday AM I have to drive to get CD3 bloodwork done and a baseline sono. My RE is in Plainview and they have a satellite office in Hewlett but don't do any blood work or monitoring there I truly don't mean to be petty but this is so hard for me as a SAHM with a husband that works... Is anyone else in the same pos? What do you do? Do you take dc with you for your monitoring? I may have to depending on how long this whole process begins to get - there is only so much that DH can request to be in a bit late...
Next week I have my HSG scheduled for Wednesday AM. RE said to take 3 motrin 1/2 hr before to reduce the discomfort of the test... I am going to LI Radiology in Hewlett...
What can I expect from the HSG? Is the discomfort pretty much over when the test is over or are you pretty crampy all day?
Thanks for any info!

Can't help with the first part because I don't have kids... but here's a link to my whole HSG experience.

I've seen little one at the RE's office a few times. But you won't be able to take DC for the HSG...so I would say if you really need DH to help out, use him that day!

Re: Scheduled my HSG - what to expect?
I think the HSG experience is very individual..
I know I agonized over it the night before.. googling it to death... but when I did it the only part that gave me some pain was when he inflated the balloon. I fully expected to be crampy afterwards but I didnt really feel anything..I was fine the rest of the day...good luck to you..I hope all goes smoothly for you..
