do they make it for on or around your due date? do you generally go in in the morning? do they break your water? (LOL)

Re: scheduling a c-section? how does it work?
Mine was scheduled at about 34 weeks and it was set for the day I turned 39 weeks first thing in the morning. They wont schedule it for even a day before 39 weeks unless there is a medical necessity. I think it depends on your drs schedule/operating room schedule for the time. First thing in the morning is best because you have to fast for 12 hours beforehand. They break your water once the surgery begins because they have to cut through it to get to the baby!

Re: scheduling a c-section? how does it work?
same as AP...except, for DS#2, my c/s was scheduled for 3 pm (and I didn't get in until 5pm). this one is for 7:30am thankfully.
I don't know how they break the water, but they collected mine in containers. this was surgically...not vaginally.

With DD, I was scheduled at 35 weeks and it was 4 days before my due date.
