Re: Share your weekly menu - 9/26
Can I play?
Sun: Boneless skinless chicken tenders baked in cream of mushroom with roasted garlic, stuffing, mixed steamed veggies (carrots, corn, & asparagus) and cranberry
Mon: DH bbq'ed hamburgers and hotdogs, baked french fries and yummy pickles (poor guy, as soon as he put everything on the grill, the skies opened up on him and poured)
Tues: Armenian cuisine, homemade Monti (like a mini meat dumpling or wonton) Luleh Kebob (like a meatball) and fresh banana chocolate chip bars
Wed: going to the yankee game, probably grab a sandwich or something in the Bronx
Thurs: Going out for a seafood dinner for our Anniversary
Friday: We're going away over night, apple picking/pumpkin picking
Sat: Leftovers from Tues (Left some aside uncooked to enjoy again)

Of course. The 1st is really easy
In a baking dish, mix chicken tenders with a can of Campbells Cream of Mushroom with Roasted Garlic Soup and add a can full of milk.
We used boxed Stove top Stuffing
Mixed veggies were from the frozen food aisle, the Steamer bags (love these, they have so many varieties. I especially love the mushroom and peas, we mix that into rice or cous cous)
And we opened a can of jellied cranberry
Tuesday's meal more than made up for the lack of work on Sunday
The Monti is a family recipe....FM if you want it, my mom wouldn't be thrilled if I put it out there publicly, but there is a you tube video that helped me learn a FANTASTIC shortcut instead of making your own dough (crazy time consuming rolling rolling rolling) you can see it here:
Monti video
Like I said, my family uses a variation to this recipe and we put the baked monti into beef broth vs the tomato stock she uses. We also top with PLAIN Yogurt (what she keeps referring to as madzoon) and sumac.
I made Luleh out of the extra meat filling I had leftover from the Monti, you just form them into oblong shaped patties and DH threw them on the bbq, you could also put on a broil pan in the oven.
Banana Chocolate Chip Bars came right out of the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook.....I tried to google and a different recipe keeps coming up. I can go grab my book and type out the recipe if anyone really wants it. Just let me know
