having done both (Aug and Jan babies)

I prefer summer! Much easier to cool off than warm up

and the wardrobe is so much easier.tanks, shorts and dresses...

no winter coats, falling on ice..worried about getting to the hospital in a blizzard! =/

I was pregnant in summer, and don't remember anything really uncomfortable, except we lived close to the back of a garage, where a guy burned trash, and since we had the windows open in the summer, the smoke would come in our windows, and I got really nauseated from it. My DH told the owner about my problem, and it stopped. Mary

DS#1 was born 9/6/09...It was one of the WORST summers & I was miserable but like some others have said, I was much happier in dresses & flip flops then I would be in pants & sweaters. My house has CAC & even though my office AC stunk, I was able to manage.

DS#2 was also suppose to be a September baby but came on 7/24/10. The summer was not as hot as when I was pregnant the first time & this time I was a SAHM. DS & I spent the majority of the time in the pool or in our CAC.

As miserable as it can be, I think as long as you can be in AC & stuff, you will be just fine.

DS was born early September, so I went through the summer being super pregnant! I thought it was great, I basically spent the summer in the water at the beach or pool. That was the only way I didn't feel like I was carrying a bowling ball in my tummy! It was also easy in terms of dress, sundresses and flip flops were so easy. I'm now pregnant with a baby due in February, I am much more nervous about a winter baby and being snowed in!

Honestly though, you never know how long it will take you to get pregnant...

DD was a sept baby so I was 34-38 weeks in aug. Honestly - the heat didn't bother me! But - I had an easy pregnancy so I'm biased. This time around I'm due in Feb! Complete opposite! I'm worried about the snow and ice! lol

i had Ds last Aug.. It was awful!!! hot and preggo don't mix well.

I had DD in March and the spring is perfect!!!

DD was due in October so I went through a summer pregnant, and I did not find it that bad. I honestly do not know if I could do it this time around with a toddler and say the same. With the first you are able to lay around, nap, sit in the ac all day & lounge...not happening with a toddler in the house the second time around!

My DD was born in mid Sept. and to answer your question..............yes, being pregnant in the summer was TORTURE! I HATED it!

Edit - I should mention that even when I am not pregnant I despise the heat and summer so add to that being pregnant and I was tortured.

Yes.. DD was born September 7 last year.. the hottest summer we had here in Maryland ever.. it WAS MISERABLE. I had no energy, had to take 2-3 showers a day from all of the sweat.. never again! Hoping for an early spring baby next time.

DD was born August 3rd, 2009 and this baby is due August 26th and it really wasn't horrible i thought, the ankle swelling was a little more pronounced with the heat but i wouldn't have tried for another summer if i hated being pregnant in the summer....

Take it from someone who had a baby in august last summer in the record heat...it was not fun at all. The month of July was miserable and there were days I just couldn't go out. I wouldn't plan another one in the summer, but I'd be happy to have another one no matter what time of year.

i had DS in september. my baby shower was outside on july 30th. I was so sick because of the heat i stayed inside for most of my own part. since i was a teacher, i spent most of august at home on the couch in front of the ac. my electricity bills have never been so high! even simple tasks like going food shopping were too much. huge belly, waddling, and so hot i felt like no ac could cool me off. each movement, however slight, sent a heatwave through my body.

i would recommend having a baby june the latest.

Try for a June baby - it won't be so bad!

Last year it was pretty hot the week or two before DS was born and the week he was born but since I spent most of my time in an air conditioned office it wasn't so bad. I wouldn't want to be pregnant in July or August.

DS was born 8/18 and the summer was HORRIBLE for me...I was so hot I could barely function. Our electric bill was ridiculous b/c I had our AC cranking the since early May and DH practically froze to death! I swore all future kids will be April/May/Early June babies!

I LOVED BEING PREGNANT IN SUMMER! old navy summer dresses with sandals , my home, car, lirr, subway and work is aced so i never felt the heat

I had DD in August, in NC. It was hot, but not enough to scare me from being hugely pregnant again in the summer-I'll be 7-8 months along in August this time around.

I have 1 winter and 2 summer babies.

I'd say ain for june or july. Once the hot weather hit, i was done for....it was sooo bad for me. I couldn't wait for them to come out.

i had DS July 29th (he came 2 weeks early). That wasnt my fav time of year. Mostly b/c i couldnt swim or go in water during the heat of the summer(post baby). I had an early Oct baby which was my favorite. I didnt mind being prego all summer- the last trimester it really doesnt matter what you look like in a baithing suit, you just do what you have to do to stay cool.

I had a baby in September and a baby in June. I spent the entire summer in maxi dresses. It was a hot miserable summer but it is worth it in the end

I had DS2 in October and the summer was pure murder! especially August lol

I had DD1 on August 30th.. it was hot but I work in an air conditioned office, spent a lot of time in the pool during the summer etc. and I was HUGEEEE and it didnt really bother me all that much.
DD2 was in november so I wasnt as pregnant during the summer but I had a similar nice experience.

If I were to have a 3rd I would "try" to aim for a june baby.. first so they are spread out, second I find it much easier to have summer parties/birthdays etc.
