Sleep question for breastfeeding mommies
Maddie is EBF and 5 months old.. she used to take a bottle no problem the first few months and now refuses it. This is becoming a problem for me since I can't really be away from her for very long lol.
So the big problem I'm having is that I can not get her to fall asleep unless I nurse her. She is usually eating every 3 hours but does go for long stretches at night.. usually 9-3 or something like that.DH can get her to fall asleep in minutes but he isn't home with her so that doesn't help me. She's too big for the swing and she hated it anyway.. she's just about 20lbs and 26.5 inches long and rolling over all over the place. Anyway.. she will NOT nap or go down for a nap without nursing and its getting to be a problem. She won't take a pacifier either .
Is my only option CIO? I did that will Kaila and it worked.. but I didn't BF her so it feels totally different this time. I've tried to let Maddie cry it out a little here and there but she just screams I really don't want to keep nursing her to sleep.. I feel like a human pacifier lol.
Any suggestions?

Re: Sleep question for breastfeeding mommies
You have to try to let her CIO. I started to feel like my DS's pacifier as well, so me nights my DH would give him a pumped bottle so i can clean or do something before bed but wouldnt go down till i nursed him for a couple of minutes which defeated the point of me not nurinsg every once in a while.
I was told by others so I am passing it on, you have to be strong and as long as they are not starving or in pain try a little CIO.
Good Luck!

Re: Sleep question for breastfeeding mommies
I'm no help. I always let them nurse themselves to sleep.
