Re: Small children and church
I would usually agree w/ the majority on this however it reminded me of something. I was at my ILs church and a child started crying. When the parents when to take them outside the Priest said to please let the child cry because she was in God's house and shouldn't have to leave their on account of their making noise. He went into this whole discussion, which I completely understood and after he finished talking, the child's cry wasn't nearly as annoying as it had been. I wish I could remember more of what he said.

Re: Small children and church
I don't like hearing my own son screaming...so why would I let him sit there and scream so others could hear him too?
Take him outside...absolutely.

Re: Small children and church
Take your child outside immediatley. We went to interview for Bryan's Christening and the priest suggested the 9AM mass because it is a children's mass. He said you don't have to worry if Bryan starts crying (hes only 2 months old) because there are a lot of children. I do understand that maybe some families cannot make the Family mass, but, if they attend a different one, then, yes..take your child out. My nephew was taken outside at my brother's wedding. He was 18 months at the time and the ring bearer. He started getting loud and a friend of the family took him outside.

Re: Small children and church
I would take the child outside to the vestibule and not return until he/she has calmed down.
