So upset. Had a really scary experience tonight with Ava...
So, she went to bed around 7 and about 8:45, I heard her moaning and basically having a bad dream. Usually if that happens, she quiets down and goes back to sleep. About five minutes into it, she started screaming and screaming, so I went in to check on her, expecting her to be awake, but she wasn't. I couldn't get her to wake up and I was freaking out. I called my mom and she said she was probably having a night terror and to just hold her so that she didn't hurt herself (I used to have bad night terrors), so I did that and she was thrashing, speaking gibberish, and jerking her body around. It was the scariest thing I've ever seen happen to her. It lasted about 15 minutes and finally, I got her to wake up a bit and she was screaming that her ear hurt her. So, I called my husband at work and he said to give her a couple of minutes to wake up more. The next thing I know, she's FREAKING out and I turn on the light and see that half her face is swollen and red. So we rushed her to the new PM Pediatrics in Selden (HIGHLY recommend them!) and it turns out she has an ear infection and an infection in her lymph nodes My poor baby. I was so scared, and I don't panic easily with her. She had no fever, or anything when she went to sleep, so I didn't even see this coming.
Anyway, I guess I just needed to vent this out because JT had to go back to work and I'm just feeling the stress now. Thanks for listening and DEFINITELY use PM Pediatrics if you ever need them, they were so great!

How scary, I am so sorry and glad she is okay now and you were able to get her care. Thanks for the info on PM Pediatrics. I don't live on LI anymore but often visit my parents and it has crossed my mind once or twice where I would go if something came up with DS. Selden is very close to them!

I have a much younger sister who had night terrors as child.....we shared a room so I was frequently the first to wake hearing her.......it is very frightening
LOVE PM Pediatrics!! We have used them in Syosset a few times!
Hope she is feeling better!

I hope DD is feeling better today..,. I took my DD to PM Pediatrics in Selden the other night at 11, and they were so incredibly nice. LOVE them!!
