That's scary. So sorry you had to go through that. Especially on your own with your Dh working nights. I know the feeling b/c my DH works nights.
I have to agree about PM ped. in Selden. I brought my son there on Thurs. night and I loved it. I have been raving about it. I would like to use them as my regular pediatrician. It was so fast and they were so caring and very clean. I highly recommend!!
Hope Ava is feeling better!!

Colin had this just once and it was one time too much for me. Definitely a scary scary episode - it truly seemed like psychosis! Everything we read said it can be set off by stress and being overtired (we had just moved, I pulled him from daycare and put him in a bed, and I had the baby). If you can try to remove (or just relieve a little) any stress factors she should avoid them in the future. I know you're pregnant - maybe try engaging her about possible fears she has about the baby?

Wow that must have been scary. My nephew got night terrors for years and my BIL works overnights as well so it was always my sister to take care of him.

Hi girls. Thanks for all the responses We just woke up a little while ago and she seems like she's doing much better today. She still has huge golf-ball sized glands, but the dr. said they'd get worse before they start to get better. But she said she's not in any pain today, so that's good.
I truly think that she had that night terror because she was in so much pain. It's very unusual for her to complain of pain, and she had been complaining of a sore throat yesterday, and I figured I'd wait until today to see if she still felt sick, but when she finally came to last night she was howling in pain Thankfully today she seems back to herself. Now to get her to rest today, that should be fun
Anyway, that's our update for now. I really can't stress how thankful I am that PM Pediatrics was open and so close to us. I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone and everyone with a child!

OMG! How scary!! My stepson has night terrors really bad too. He usually gets them if he stays up really late. It freaks me and DH out... it's like he's possessed! Esp when he talks gibberish! I totally know how you feel! It must of been a thousand times worse when you saw the swelling! We've used PM Pediatrics with my other stepson who broke his leg a few weeks ago. They were great! We used the one in Syosset... two thumbs up!! Hope Ava is feeling a lot better today. And I hope you are feeling well too.

 I'm glad she's ok...and hope you both recover soon.
The little girl I babysat had night terrors. She was petrified, screaming. I hope she doesn't have them but instead it was from the ear infection.

OH Rachel! You poor baby! Grace acted like this the first night she got the swine flu- it was terrifying but at least I knew why! I can't even imagine not knowing what was happening! How terrible.
I hope Ava feels better
