Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
My DH's insurance is paid through his job. For me to be on his plan would be about $1000 per month. For our child to be on the plan with us would be about $3000. That plan does not include dental or vision.
I am on my own private insurance for $500 per month. Our baby will probably go on CHP, because it's the least expensive option.
I had no idea so many people pay so little for their insurance.

I pay $1,100 a month. $30 copay for sick visits to ped, gyno and family dr. $50 copay for specialist. Horrible prescription. No dental
I had 3 kids in braces at one time. Horror!

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
I always knew we were lucky with DH being in Local 3 since he doens't have a premium, so nothing is paid on a montly basis. Our co-pays for medical are $25 for drs visits (well visits for babies too) and another $25 for diagnostic (xrays and stuff). Vision can be done through the union, and dental is covered aside from a small percentage. Although I did take DD to a pediatric dentist and hardly any of it was covered bec. the Dr was so costly.
Then we have deductibles for things like PT. Mental health stinks though, it's only 30 visits per entire family for the entire year, 1st 4 visits are paid out of pocket and still a $25 copay.
All of our out of pocket payments we then submit to the HRA fund and get some money back, but it's taxed like income.

$216/m for me and DH and I work for the government.
This includes no vision, no dental. LOL I thought the government was supposed to have the best benefits! I am not complaining though!
whatttt?? seriousLy??
i thought this too! lol
DH and I pay under $300 and its Government. We have no vision and no dental also. I have had nothing but problems with the government plans. The one my job offers is better than the government plan.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
$180 For DH and I. We do not pay anything extra for dental or vision and no deductable.
My job offers several different plans, I could have taken one of those plans (a well know Insurance Co) for nothing, but I prefer the health insurance that we get through DH so I opted out. My job pays me for opting out and it covers what we are paying for me to be covered under DH

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
with the 'best' plan at my job, I still pay about $200/paycheck ($400/month) out of pocket. with a $500 deductible and the coverage is only 95% of bills (this is the 'best' plan they offer) this is the worst coverage I have ever had with any job.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
now... dental is i think 25 a month and medical i think is 120 a month.... I have a high deductible plan where instead of copays we pay all sick visits, proceedures etc..which could be upto $6,500 out of pocket.....
hubby had a plan that cost like $350 a month but there was a lower deductible.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
2K per month for a family plan. That included dental, but no vision. This is for me, STBX and 2 children. When the plan year is over in May, I get to drop STBX and stepdaughter, so it will be about 1K still for me and DD. I am self-employed.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
6 bucks a month for my family plan. That is for the high option rider. I would be willing to pay much, much more.
ETA: My union picks up the poor vision plan and ok dental plan (but I have never had a cavity, so my dental visits are pretty basic.)

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
Under DH's we pay $75 a month for me b/c my job offers insurance and we opt not to take it, DH & DS are $0. We have no co-pays and don't lay out a dime for prescriptions, we are very lucky. This includes dental & eye too.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
I'm astounded to hear how many pay nothing or relatively little. I'm wondering how many of those same people know the true cost of their health care - what their company is paying for that coverage.
Our health care was just over $6800 in payroll deductions last year - that's just for me and DH. No dental and just discounts on vision care. With co-pays, prescriptions, dental and vision care expenses we spent just under $10,000 for our health care last year.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
We pay $300/month for family plan...$300 ind deduction/1300 total family deduction/10% co-insurance
I actually turn my insurance down and my job gives me 35% of the money back of an individual plan($15K/year) as salary - so after taxes, that just about covers our health costs for the year.
I think vision is $11/month
we both get free dental - 75% coverage, so between the two we don't pay for much

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
Right now we pay $550/ month for DH and myself. After the baby is born we will switch over to the family plan and that will cost $1100/ month plus $2500 yearly deductible.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
$500/month with a deductible of $2500/year before benefits are paid out, and then a 90/10 bridge up to $5000 where after all are covered 100%

The hub and I work for the same company. Employee benefits are paid in full so at the moment, we pay nothing; however, when we have a child that will change.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
$240 for me and my daughter with co insurance and deductibles. so in reality i pay a lot more depending on the dr that is needed and what test maybe needed. and the sad part is my company is OWNED by Highmark Bluecross/Blueshield.
Oh and my co pays are through the roof. I just paid over $115 for meds alone. and I have bronchitis

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
We pay $500 per pay period for a family plan, so some months it's $1000 and some it's $1500. That does include our dental and vision plans too.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
I pay nothing for mine. I'm fully covered through my job, including dental.
DH's company recently changed their plan so that he now pays a certain amount per month, but I'm not sure of the exact figure.
When we have kids, it's going to cost a fortune to get them covered under either of our plans.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
Mine is fully covered by my employer but I pay into it about $380 a month to cover DH. This is for Aetna, pretty decent plan. I'm ok with it although it would be nice for my employer to pick up the charges for DH too!! lol

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
My employer only pays for single ins. DH and I both work there and he paid for each of us to have separate single plans.
Well now that I had DD#2 we need family ins. We have to pay the difference, which is $300 a month.

Re: Spinoff-So, how much do YOU pay for healthcare?
$25/pay check and I'd like to keep it that way.
DH has family coverage in order to cover Abby. I benefit from that as my secondary.
I also have dental under my own and DH's insurance as well as free glasses under DH's should I need them. I have excellent vision - I don't need it but I am glad the option is there.
I pray to G-d that my employer and DH's employer doesn't go on the cheap. I want what I have and I don't want it to change.
