Oh my goodness.... let me spell it out for you:
IGNORANCE: lacking knowledge or general awareness.
YOUR STATEMENT: You can’t be pro women’s rights, pro LGBT rights, anti abuse against children, etc etc etc and still support the church the way it is now.
You can be, because I am one who is said person. Because the catholic faith has many followers who do believe in all the rights you stated above. NOT ALL but they do exist. Like I said twice already, even my sons gay principal supports the church. So clearly you lack the knowledge and hence you are ignorant because you are putting all Catholics in the same narrow minded category. Whether you want to believe it or not your statements are ignorant and harsh.
Idk what trump has to do with this, but this is what people do now a days to prove a point, bring up unrelated cases or memes that are unfactual propaganda. At this point I’m also done and said what I had to say on this.
Let me spell it out for you. Having faith in a religion is different from supporting an organized church. That’s wonderful that you know one gay man that supports the church. I’m sure he represents all gay men. You sound ridiculous. Give me some real examples as to how the church is changing to support women, gay rights and finally correcting abuses against children. Don’t tell me about one gay man you know that supports the church.
I understand what I am saying is a threat to you and your organized belief system but really take a look at the organization you are supporting. Have you ever questioned the practices of the church. I’m not talking about your faith in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I’m asking you to examine the way the church has behaved and if that is in keeping with the faith you have in Jesus. If you think it is, that’s great. I just can’t imagine anyone that really looks at these questions could say that the church has acted appropriately.
And finally, you speak about people who support the church believing in women’s rights etc but the church itself has done little to support women, gay people etc. so it doesn’t matter if some of the followers believe in these things. Show me how the church supports women, gay men etc. I think you will be hard pressed to find examples.
