I'd rather have the big dogs allowed in stores!!! At least they are quiet.

Its the little runts that I want to punt when I hear their "yip yip" bark! UGH! Chat Icon

I guess you are this type of person who always going to be right regardless.

Your little doggie is perfect. Does not bark, can go to stores with you, etc...

The bottom line, you have no regards for anyone else. That's what it comes down too. You just do as you please.

I don't think you can get past the fact that someone has an opinion that doesn't agree with yours. It seems like you are the one who always has to be right.

Yes, but I admit to it. I am not in denial. But regardless, I don't impose my dogs to others.

And for the records, apparently, I am not the only one who feels this way either.

Oh people, come on - I have had many a yippeee little drop kick pup in my life - my stepmom would only have little dogs, and I would say it right to their little snouts while I kissed them on the lips. I'm a VEGAN. Trust me - ain't no drop kicking going on here. Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff to Dogs in Stores

Should I bother?

Why not.

Let me put in a disclaimer by saying this is not directed at any particular poster or posters.

I - personally - don't have any problem with seeing a dog in a grocery. I am not afraid of them, I am not allergic to them and I have two little boys who do things way grosser than any puppy could.

Having said that - I would never bring a pup into a store. Because there ARE people who are allergic, because there ARE people who are afraid and because there ARE people who are disgusted by the idea of a dog - ANY dog - being in a place where food is bought, sold and consumed.

It's consideration for others - plain and simple.

When I cough or sneeze, I cover my nose and mouth. There is no law or sign saying that I MUST cover my up when coughing. Most people probably wouldn't even NOTICE if I let out a sneeze and didn't cover. But it's a matter of consideration. Even if I am in the cereal aisle and nobody else is walking by and there is zero chance of my germs getting on something someone is going to eat - I STILL cover my nose and mouth.

If it pleases you to take your dog into a store KNOWING that the potential exists that you could get someone sick or you might frighten someone or it is simply something that a good number of people are averse too - than I think that by definition you lack consideration for others.
