Re: Spinoff to working ladies-- ladies with physical jobs mostly on your feet?...

I work a retail job and don't get to sit down at all, so I completely understand. I was planning on working up until the very end, but at just over 38 weeks, yesterday was my last day. I just couldn't do it anymore, I feel like a slacker too but I kind of felt like I should just listen to my body and stop working. Hopefully this baby comes soon, cause I might go stir crazy sitting at home waiting :)

Re: Spinoff to working ladies-- ladies with physical jobs mostly on your feet?...

don't feel like a slacker...my job requires me to drive around the island, carry heavy bags, and stand and squat in tight spaces...i started getting ocular migraines and losing my vision (while driving a few times) so my OB, my hubby, and my boss all urged me to stop working much earlier than i had wanted to...i stopped at 36 weeks!!

honestly, i am really glad i did. while i will have less time at home when baby gets here, it was better for both of us not to put all that stress and strain on me the last few weeks. you need to do what is best for you and for the baby.
