Re: spinoff: what clubs did you frequent

Did anyone else go to the Chipendale's show at Metro 700, sneak into the bathroom so they could get into Metro 700 when it turned into the club before they were 21?? Obviously, I did...Chat Icon

Does anybody remember System in the mid nineties? It was such a fun place!!!Clubby, but smaller and cozier than the larger clubs. I think it eventually became Plaid in the 2000's?Chat Icon
It was on 11th between 3rd and 4th, possibly.

Also, we loved Madison's on the Upper East in the late nineties. Very fun place. It is very young now and has changed names. Don't remember the new one?Chat Icon

ETA: Oh, and the old Buddha Bar on Varick street. That was more of a bar but fun place. Anyone rem that?

I remember all of them!!! I stopped going to clubs pretty much once I was of age...so I was at System as a teenager. We also went to Mars, Limelight, Paladium (one of my BMs met her DH there!), Danceteria, the Building...I can't even remember anymore.

Once I was of age, I was all about bars.. enter Madisons (I've NEVER had a bad time there!!) and Buddha Bar and just about every bar to ever open it's doors in Bay Ridge. Although there were a few of those I refused to go to after I was 21. Faces was my Friday night spot from 19-20. I think it's a window store now.
