I've bought some maternity clothes too. DH was nice enough to go shopping with me yesterday and we got a couple of the petite secret fit pants at Mimi Maternity. They are surprising cheap - $25 per pair. And these are pants you can wear to work too!
The Gap also has some great stuff for the professional look.
Gap has maternity? Do all stores have this?

Hi girls! I am joining you too! I waited until after my ultrascreen to join! We're very excited! My due date is Christmas Eve. I waited until after that sono to buy any maternity clothes and I have not yet bought anything for a baby... Glad to join you!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I haven't looked into maternity clothes yet. Still trying to get away w/the various sizes in my closet (I have a range btwn 4 - 10). I think I'm working on the 8's now.
Just curious...does anyone get "antsy" waiting for their next Dr's apt (btwn 12-16 weeks)? I was an IVF so I got used to going frequently to check on things and then it was every 2 wks. Now it's every 4 wks...
I guess I just love seeing the li'l munchkin...

Welcome. I too just joined after my ultrascreen.
I did buy maternity clothes but that was b/c I had to. But I have no intentions to buy any baby items anytime soon. Don't feel ready for that at all.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I had been putting rubber bands on my pre-pregnancy jeans so that they would fit and once I had my ultrascreen I felt better about wearing maternity clothes. I needed them, but I guess I am just superstituous.

I get very anxious the few days before my appointment. I dont know why. Its like all the sudden I get worried that something is wrong. I just had my 16 week appointment and although she didnt do a sonogram, she listened for the heartbeat and since I have been feeling great and havent had any complications, everything seems fine. I am nervous for the anatomy sonogram. I pray that everything is fine with that!

No! The outlets used to have Maternity, but now they took it out. I am pretty sure you can only get the stuff online. I dont know of any stores around here that are carrying it!

I also wish that I could have an appointment more frequently. I hate that I have wait 3 more weeks now to go to the doctor. I get nervous because I have been feeling really normal. I know it sounds crazy but I'm no longer sick and it makes me nervous..haha.

I seriously count down in my head almost every day until my next appointment (22 days from now!) I have started to feel better too, you shouldn't worry though b/c we're entering the 2nd trimester when things start to get better. Enjoy it! I have a hand held heartbeat monitor that keeps me sane until I can actually start feeling it moving around. It's just reassurance for me and I know a lot of people dont see the need for it, and thats ok too.

I hear ya. Where did you get this and is it safe for us to use? Is there a limit as to how much you can use it? I may need one....

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I'm with ya girls, I get really antsy before my next doc appt. Especially, this time....I feel like it's so far away. Plus, I couldn't get an appt for a month later, it's more like a month in a half later.
That half really is throwing me off. So, I'm not going back until July 23.
I wish it was here already!!!!

Gap Maternity is located at the Roosevelt Field mall. You'll likely find it at the back of the Gap Baby stores. I went to the one in Jersey - Garden State Mall.
You'll find more selections online and the stuff works very well as career clothes 'cus quality is great.
They have petite too. I find alot of the Gap Maternity, Ann Taylor Loft Maternity and Mimi Maternity clothes are more appropriate for work than the stuff at other stores.

Mine is so easy to use, I know where mine implanted so basically I lay down on the couch or bed and put the ultrasound gel on my lower stomach and turn it on. I got the digital one so that I can see the hb count. I love mine and it makes me sane until I feel some movement.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!
I get anxious too. I had a sono less than 1 week ago and I still get nervous that something has gone wrong since then. My heart races before each appointment. I hope I'll have some peace of mind once I start feeling something.
My next appointment/sono is on the 8th. I'll be getting a full anatomy scan then. As long as everything is ok with that sono , I won't have a Level II.
Has anyone started feeling the baby yet?

When is the full anatomy scan done? I haven't heard about this yet. All I know is the next thing I go for is the AFP at 16 weeks. I have to ask about this.

I'm getting the full anatomy scan at about 16 weeks. Based on this board, it seems that most doctors in NY only do a Level II at 18-22 weeks. I'm in CT. It seems many CT doctors tend to do the full anatomy scan instead and only do the Level II if necessary (age, medical problems/family history of medical problems, etc).
