Re: taking newborn for a walk
I always took DS in his carseat with the snap & go. never had a bassinette so that wasn't an option.
he always seemed perfectly comfortable.

We love this bassinet! DS is so comfortable and happy in it. He hates his carseat, we can barely drive without hearing whining and crying.
We fold up the stroller and put it in the trunk wherever we go, that's how comfortable DS is in it.
The sun really really bothers him, he doesn't like it so the bassinet gives great protection from the elements. If you want you can get a parisol/umbrella attachment also.
He lies down flat, but looks at me, or looks at his Tiny Love ToGo mobile, and kick and laughs. Sleeps very well in it, and it doubles as a place for him to sleep when he visits his grandparents. Its very cozy.
I've taken him for walks in light rain in the bassinet, with the rain cover it was so soothing for him. What an experience!

Re: taking newborn for a walk
When DD was a newborn I took her in the bassinet. She usually just fell asleep anyway.
