This woman obviously has a lot of issues, and I give you a lot of credit for not walking up to her and telling her off!! I would of flipped out on her, what a b!tch!!! I feel bad for her kids, there going to grow up having weight problems themselves.

And congrats on your recent weight loss! We did a biggest loser at work last year and everyone lost a lot of weight. I hope you kick arse!

I AM FLOORED - THAT WOMAN OBVIOUSLY HAD ISSUES AND MENTAL PROBLEMS there is NO other explanation for that incident!

Also - I'm sorry but some overweight people can be SO MUCH HEALTHIER than underweight or average size people. I don't think you can necessarily tell how healthy someone is by their weight - my college roommate was always thin and had a great bod and she ate like crap! She ate like a container of haagen daz everyday and all junk!

It's stuff like this that makes me lose my faith in the human race as a whole...

At first I thought "Oh man, I wish she laid into that woman!!" but I think you took the high road by not stooping to her level. And who knows...if you did say something, there is a chance she might have been even nastier to you, which might have hurt even more. It seems that a lot of times, when people are called out for being mean/rude/nasty, instead of apologizing, they fight back with more of the same. I'm sorry you had to deal with such a terrible person.

AS for your story-that is disgusting... I forget how cruel some people in this world can be.

But please do remember, that in addition to being a disgusting human being (based on what she said to you and how she spoke to her own children), she is incredibly STUPID so lets just pray that she doesn't pass on too much of her STUPIDITY to those poor children. Try to pity her, because she is clearly uninformed and dumb as a ton of bricks and has no sense in dealing with the rest of the world.

I am so sorry you had to experience that. You are exactly right it is absolute ignorance. It makes me sad that as a society we have become so insensitive to other people.
