Telling family/friends you are TTC?
So who did you guys tell?
Did anyone not tell their parents?
I personally haven't told my parents.
Only my 2 BFFs

i have told my sister and a few close friends, but haven't told our parents or most of our friends. I just don't need extra pressure of ppl asking how its going if we end up having trouble. i am going to wait till I actually get that BFP.

didn't tell anyone and don't plan on it. Didn't do that the last time either. I can tell my MIL wanted to ask the last time and my mother will flat out ask. I just say no.
I have an almost 17 month old now and I can tell my MIL wants me to TTC again. Last week I had a glass of wine and she gave a look like she's dissapointed.
BTW... didn't tell anyone I was prego till after 12 week and gonna do it again

i only told one friend i work with cause i HAD to tell someone that we were TTC. but she doesn't talk to any of my other friends and she told me she wont keep asking me how it's going. so i trusted. DH said he hasn't told anyone. and we're def not telling our families until 12 weeks.

When ppl ask, we just say when it happens, it happens. Because we've been married so long, I think people assume we are TTC. My mom definitely knows... and a few close friends of mine. Other than that... I dont share it with anyone.
When I do get my BFP, the girls on this board, and 1 dear friend of mine who is also TTC will be the only ones who know until we hear a HB.

We told our mothers and DH's brother and sister when we were going to start trying. Whether they remember or not I don't know. Our close friends know.

our parents and our sisters have a good idea that we are thinking about it. as far them knowing we started trying this month - i don't think anyone knows that except my sister, i had to tell someone!

Hi! I haven't told anyone...except for you ladies, lol!
Like a previous poster said, I just don't want the added pressure--and it would be nice to surprise everyone.
I think if it doesn't happen within a few months, I'll probably tell my mom and sister so they know what's going on.

Nope we didn't tell anyone. I even had a secret name on here for quite a while. I didn't want anyone to know. I just felt like I would have been constantly asked about it. We didn't tell anyone I was pregnant until 12 weeks!

The only person who knew for the longest was my best friend and then once I had my chemical I told my cousin because she's very close to me and I needed some extra support. Our parents don't know and neither does anyone else. I just don't want extra pressure or comments from anyone. People ask constantly and we just say maybe soon and that's it we leave it at that. We are now on our 5th month trying, if people knew and were asking the entire 5 months I think it would just add so much extra stress.

We aren't TTC yet (we will start after the New Year) but when the time comes, I will only be telling you ladies. I feel very protective over this info ( I know it sounds weird but DH & I both have very involved parents). I dont want anyone to ask us 30000000000 ques and to be honest and I know this can sound horrid but MIL is so suffocating, she will make this about her. I want it to be just about us. I want it to be our little secret. We dont plan on telling anyone till 12 wks.

actually, you don't find out you're preggo till your about 4 weeks preggo. Hard to explain, but you'll learn that from your OB when you get pregnant.  
I thought the same thing though.

I think I told everyone but my parents! When/if I do get pregnant I sort of want it to be a complete surprise for them. That and I think my mom would stress me out if she knew I was TTC because she had so much trouble TTC.

Just 1 close friend knows...if anyone asks (and they do all the time  ) we just say "when it happens...it happens" Although i want to come out and just say really inappropriate things to make them feel uncomfortable for asking

No parents, my BFFs know, and everyone else knows we really want kids soon, not how much we are trying. Though after AF showed up Saturday, I was a little tipsy at BIL's wedding and ended up telling some random great something or other of DH's everything. She told me to slow down and enjoy each other and everything would work out in the end, I know she is right.

No I dont want to tell anyone bc then people wil analyze my every little move....like if I am not drinking, etc.
So I have only told my sister who doesnt live near me and has not been hounding me so that is nice. I have hinted to a few others that we may start trying but literally like 3 people and not any of my close friends.

one friend knows we are starting this month. 3-4 friends know we are planning to start in the near future.
not a peep to family, would love to surprise them. also think they would stress us out and prefer not to talk about bedroom activities with them.
