Testing for multiple miscarriages
I am having my 2nd mc in less than 3 months. I am not seeing my RE as I was able to get pregnant naturally both times. I am on endometrin but I guess it did't do enough. Do I have to ask for testing? If so, what kind? We just saw the heartbeat yesterday and told our families. I can't keep doing this.

You need to see a reproductive immunologist. They will run an immune panel, clotting bloodwork and genetics bloodwork to find out why. I think if the pregnancy was far enough along, they can test to better find out why you mc.

If you just saw the heartbeat yesterday, how do you know you are having an m/c? If you are bleeding, even CLOTTING.. that does not necessarily mean you are having a loss!!!  Has this been confirmed?

Thanks for replying. I am completely soaked in blood. Massive clotting and cramping. Talked to my dr and she confirmed that it's prob a MC. Im going for a sono late tonight. I had subchronic hematoma w the boys but this feels completely different. Ugh. I was so happy. Im praying its something else, but I have no hope.

Oh Jen, I am so sorry  I would, typically suggest a possible sch, but I know you have had one. I don't have any advice...just wanted to say that I am praying for you and hoping you can get this figured out

I first went to see an RE for multiple MC. He did run a panel of tests, but they probably weren't as in-depth as it would be with a reproductive immunologist. They tested thyroid, genetics, insulin, clotting, RH factor, etc. Even after all the testing came up clean I still had a 3rd CP. Sometimes it's just bad luck.

If you're going to have a D&C, I definitely suggest having the tissue tested. Although I do have immune issues, my farthest pregnancy ended in miscarriage due to trisomy.
If you need to talk, please FM me. Unfortunately I know the feelings of miscarriage all to well.

I'm sorry that I didn't get to update yesterday. The dr thought she saw a heartbeat when she did a sono on Thurs night. I went for a "real" sono yesterday and there is definitely still a heartbeat. I am still in shock, bc my dr was so doubtful! Apparently I have SCH again with this pregnancy. Thank you everyone for thinking about me!
