I am starting tomorrow. I am due to receive the book on Monday but I found enough information to get started without it.

Today I stocked up on chicken short cuts, eggs, egg white containers, plain greek yogurts, soy milk for coffee, plenty of the recommended veggies, citrus fruits, apples and berries. Ready to roll tomorrow!

Perfect start, they also ask that you drink hot lemon water every morning when u wake up and drink green tea with every mealChat Icon

Thanks for the additional information! I should not have a problem with either of those things. I do like green tea and being that it's winter it should be easy to do.

I just got the books and excited to start this! The only problem is I have three big events coming up in the next 17 days - two large family bday parties and work xmas party. I am so nervous about being able to follow this because of these events. One is a bday celebration for my grandma - sit down dinner at my house with 12 people. I really want to start - do you think it is still possible??

I'm joining you guys. Today is day 1 for me. Started the day with an egg white omlette. It was very yummy. I ordered the book yesterday. Should have it by Tuesday. I did a lot of research on this diet and got the basics down so I could start sooner! Looking to lose 12 pounds. Chat Icon Hoping we could all do this together for support. I know ill need it!

Can anyone share cycle 1 lunch ideas?

For cycle 1 I mostly ate different types of salads either with tuna or chicken. When I got a little bored of salads I made this and added some broccoli to change it up a bit. It's a recipe from the book. I just used chicken instead of fish

INGREDIENTS

* 1 pound of tilapia

* 2 tablespoons olive oil

* 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

* 2 tablespoons light soy sauce

* 1 tablespoon chopped garlic

* 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

DIRECTIONS
Spray a broiler pan with vegetable oil spray to prevent fish from sticking. Place tilapia. Whisk together olive oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce and garlic until well blended. Pour over fish. Sprinkle sesame seeds over fish. Broil at medium heat about eight inches away from heat for about 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Makes 4 servings.

This sounds delish! Thanks so much!

Onto day 2. Lost two pounds!

So excited and motivated.

How often should I weigh myself? I do not want to do everyday.

Re: The 17 day diet

I started yesterday and today I am down 2 lbs. I am not going to weigh every day but I needed to motivate myself and see some quick results. I am planning to weigh every other day.

Re: The 17 day diet

I hope my book comes today. I need more breakfast ideas. I see eggs getting very old this week...when I can't add cheese or a side of toast.Chat Icon Maybe tomorrow I will have yogurt & a fruit instead. Outside of that, anyone have any other ideas for breakfast?

After reading the book there is not much selection for breakfast for phase 1. Basically you can do eggs, egg whites, yougurt, fruit, a smoothie.

Smoothie? I love smoothies! What could I put in a smoothie? What would the liquid be? TIA

I use kefir to make smoothies, basically a drinkable yogurt, you can use fruit, or plaint yogurt. I love a cucumber blueberry smoothieChat Icon
