Never mind poverty and rape - if a woman wants to take it, and her doctor prescribes it, it's her choice! Get out of the pharmacy business if you don't like doling out meds!
well rape is a different story....then people just need to be more careful and accept that there are risks to having sex.

Do you mean if someone has an accident and gets pg then they mustn't have a choice in terminating the pregnancy?

I don't think this is what she's saying. I would agree to some point. There are consequenses to our actions nad getting PG is one of them when having sex.

Of course- I don't think anyone here is advocating the morning after pill as a usual form of birth control. But accidents do happen. Condoms break, etc... Since this is an option that is legal, it should be available.

no, Im NOT saying that at all. I think its a women's choice to decide what they want to do, but some people just dont care, such as people who are in poverty or on welfare.

But Walmart is a huge company, known to come into towns and drive out many of the smaller businesses, and I am willing to bet many of them are pharmacies. I have been in small towns in the US where Walmart is the only game in town, and it is a long distance to get to another pharmacy if you don't have a car.
Then go to your nearest hospital.
In some areas, that is farther away than Walmart.
I doubt that. It can't be too far because its a public service. Call 911... have an ambulance truck you to the nearest hospital.
Besides... people are talking about the rape word when using this pill. Frankly... if you are raped... you should be going to the hospital anyways and not going to walmart.
this is an extremely ignorant statment
Whats ignorant? Telling a rape victim to go to a hospital so they can be checked out?
Thats not ignorant... thats COMMON SENSE. Something a lot of people in this country LACK.
This is a STUPID lawsuit.

in a perfect world a rape victim would go to the hospital but in the real world there is so much emotion going on it is much easier said that done.
i think it is interesting the way the men on this post are reacting.

It's ignorant to EXPECT a rape survivor to go to a hospital. Most women don't. Can you imagine what is going through the mind of a woman who was just raped. I can't- but I wouldn't say that someone is lacking common sense at that moment.
I have been through traumas- not like that, but others. I will tell you now I definitely don't think rationally right after it happens. And I have never been through anything that I could compare to being raped.

I think it's interesting too. I always think it's interesting when men have a strong opinion about women's reproductive rights in way that is anything other than supportive.

When I was in college, the stat was 1 in 8 men were victims of rape. So chances are- many of these guys have friends who were raped. Do you think THEY went to the police? Do they think THEY reported it? Don't think so.

Rape or not... I think this lawsuit is for the birds.
So lets say a woman gets rape. Doesn't get checked out. She ends up with some disease. Then she decides to have sex a year later and spreads it.
Think thats ok?

Of course it's common sense for a rape victim to go to a hospital. But as we know so many rapes go unreported. Do you really think it's so easy, after being violated like that, to just use common sense and go to a hospital?!! Do you even know what procedures a rape vicitm has to go through at a hospital in order to be "checked out"?
