Update: He's still sick. he seemed to be getting better yesterday, but then was up all night (literally would only sleep in my arms in the glider) with a fever that seems resistant to meds. We are going in to the doctor at 1:30 today. I'm worried he has the flu or something more serious than a typical virus He's never had a fever for this long before, and never had one that can't be lowered with fever reducers.
You may have already heard this at the doc today, but when my DS or DD has a high fever (102+) that won't go down with just advil, I piggy-back tylenol. My doc is insistent that when they have a high fever I do the piggy-backing because she says the high fever makes their little heart work too hard and that is dangerous for them. As soon as the fever is more manageable, we go back to just one med. Hope he's feeling better soon!

Yep, we piggyback.
Went to doctor, who assured me this is all normal and the best thing for his immunity is to keep him in daycare. But we started a probiotic and are looking into vitamins.
He DOES have his first ear infection and a nasty virus. My poor dude

It's so rough. DS started daycare at 3 and a half months and was more sick between ages 1 and 2 than in the beginning (although coxsackie at 10 months was hands down the worst thing to deal with). Between 2-3 wasn't too bad, and this year so far he's had tonsillitis, a stomach bug, a cough and a couple of colds. The phrase "It's just a virus" drove me crazy because he had three fever viruses between April and June 2013 (the fourth one wound up being Roseola, but I was panic stricken).
I'm trying to balance being diligent with washing his hands, giving him vitamins, and we just started probiotics.
Hope he feels better! Hang in there!
