This is totally irrational. . .

but I am getting annoyed that the doorbell is ringing while DD is napping Chat Icon

Disclaimer: I know it is Halloween, I am happily answering the door and giving out candy, I am glad they are trick or treating etc.

But for a split second every time the bell rings I am like Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon and then run to the door so they dont ring it again!

At 12 I felt as you did but we had nobody come. Now at 2:30 I wish someone would wake Abby up!!! We need to get the party started.

Re: This is totally irrational. . .

Last year I put a note up that said "please don't ring the door bell. Baby napping" Everyone was very considerate.

We went through this last year. I was afraid of germs. They had just come home from the hospital the day before. At one point I think I closed the shades and turned off the lights

I was thinking the same thing.

We don't trick or treat until night time here so no nap interruptions at our house.

I put a note out last year, but half the kids that came to the door couldn't read that well yet Chat Icon so this year I'm on door patrol and running to the door before they ring the bell!

For the record, DD took a four hour nap through all the doorbells AND 4 of her cousins playing outside of her door Chat Icon I had to wake her up to eat so we could all go T or T!

Re: This is totally irrational. . .

I would have stuffed some paper in the doorbell ringer so it will still ring if you are very close, but you won't hear it more than a few feet away.
