This week's things I'm trying to commit to memory

so I'm posting them before my children are old & I've forgotten the moments. Sorry guys but this is like my baby bookChat Icon

Joseph questioning if the Easter Bunny exists. He doesn't think rabbits can have magical powers & get in the house. He understands that Santa has them & how he can "break in" because obviously Santa has magic, but is wondering why the Easter Bunny would drag plastic eggs all over. When I asked him where he thinks the chocolate bunny came from, he said "I don't know. Maybe someone gets them from the store & puts them in our house. You know like a stranger or something." So I questioned "A STRANGER?" He said "Well not a stranger like a bad stranger. I mean like a good samaritan or something." I shook my head & said "He must have a lot of money to buy everyone chocolate bunnies".

Maddie asking my dad to have a blinking contest with her. He asked "You mean a staring contest?" She said "No a blinking one. Staring is too hard. Whoever blinks the most wins but you have to count your own blinks."

Joseph & Maddie once again questioning Santa Claus. When I asked who do they think bought the presents, they said "Definitely not you or Daddy. You hate that we have so many toys." Joseph vounteered that it's possible it's Aunt Lauren but hasn't figured out how she's getting in our house. Later, he committed back to Santa existing.

and one thing I'm opting to forget.

Maddie is our sunshine. She always compliments everyone & has something nice to say. Everytime Maddie eats something, she asks what is it good for as in calcium for her bones & nice teeth, vitamin k for her hair, etc. So she asked what something (see I've already forgotten what!) was good for. DH said "Well it's made up mainly of fat." She said "I don't want to get fat." I volunteered that everyone needs to have some fat on their bodies because it protects our body & insultates us from the cold. She said "Mommy -you are doing a really good job of having fat."Chat Icon

I may have to agree with Joseph on this one. I KNOW Aunt Lauren would sneak into your house like Santa for Joseph and Maddie Chat Icon

I think your son just invented the Eastertime good Samaritan-which is steeped in more religion than a bunny so why not? Chat Icon Chat Icon I can't wait to have these types of stories.

Chat Icon Seriously, your kids are awesome... And Maddie must have been talking to Andrew lately because I got a lecture from my 4 year old the other day how drinking a diet soda with dinner (instead of water like DH was having) is what's making me fat Chat Icon Now where would he get ideas like that Chat Icon Chat Icon
