Those who are EBF & introduced the bottle later on...
DS will be one month next week and we are planning on introducing the bottle - no formula, I am going to pump.
1) Do you think there will be nipple confusion after one month of EBF? DS does use a paci since 1 week.
2) How many ounces of breastmilk do I put in a bottle for each feeding?
3) Any bottle recommendations?
When I BF, I have enough to satisfy DS. But when I pump, I only get an ounce per breast so I am a little worried. I really don't want to introduce formula as of yet.
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Probably not, but if he refuses the bottle don't assume that is what it is. He might just not like the nipple. I tried 4 different bottles w/ DD before getting it right.
2) How many ounces of breastmilk do I put in a bottle for each feeding?
At 4 weeks - 4 ounces, at 5 weeks 5 ounces. I wouldn't heat any more than that at a given time.
3) Any bottle recommendations?
We used Playtex Drop-ins w/ latex nipple. DD didn't like the silicone nipple.

It is normal to get very little when pumping in the beginning. You can try pumping before nursing. That will give you a good pumping session output wise, and having your DS nurse after pumping will send a signal to your body to increase milk supply. Don't worry about DS getting enough that way - he is MUCH more efficient than a pump.
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!
Good luck!! BFing is very hard in the beginning. All of the ladies on here that have done it are amazing resources when things are not going well, when you feel like giving up, or you just want to vent, so don't forget to look here for any advice at all.

I introduced a bottle at about a week old-- so I could get some sleep. No nipple confusion at all-- and I think Sasha was taking 3 to 4 oz then. Good luck!

I would be sure to do it soon. I tried with both kids and they refused to drink from a bottle at all They were like 2 months old.
