Those who did CIO before 6 months
can you tell me your experience. FM if you feel more comfortable.
Ped. said based on DDs size, amount of ounces she eats, etc.. that she does not need to have her first bottle as early as she does and she is waking out of habit and comfort.
ETA: i know a lot of people disagree with this. i am not looking for flames.

Re: Those who did CIO before 6 months
my DS is the same age as your DD (born 5/24) his PED told me the same thing, he has gained enough weight where he doesn't need his middle of the night bottle to let him cry. I haven't let him cry YET bc I just feel bad, but if your doc says its ok I'm sure DD will be fine
I just realized I posted on your other thread too LOL we are def. in the same boat.
Having a toddler does not help the situation bc mine is up all day, I'm so exhausted!

Re: Those who did CIO before 6 months
We did it at 5 mos, maybe a little later, but def before 6 - it was totally fine and worked within a couple of days. I think you have to go based on your child's size and development and make this decision for yourself - our DD was ready for it and responded beautifully. That doesn't mean she's never regressed after a few bad nights (like when she has a cold and we don't let her CIO), but she gets back on track quickly.
ETA: I think we could've done it a little earlier than we did but we had a bit of traveling and so we had to wait a bit.
