Honestly, I would argue the "late" email. They should have caught the mistake at check out when you purchased it. Not when it's time to ship to.

Well, ORIGINALLY I recieved an email 2 days after ordering that the item is "out of stock" and wouldn't be in until 3/20. I opted to keep, rather than cancel the order since the baby isn't due until 6/18.
NOW (3 days later) I get this BS email about the "mistake."

I think that's the "fishy" part and that's why I would not let get away with it. If it was really a mistake, it would have been caught at the order.... not 3 days later. Who says this is even a mistake and not a made up story?
In any event, even if it is a mistake, this is NOT YOUR PROBLEM. They accepted your order at a certain price (you have the confirmation) and that's their loss. A local store would have to honor the price and take the loss.

I would e-mail and write a letter to the company president. Also DO NOT order from them again! Let them know that you, your family and friends will NEVER order from them again due to bad business practices. You can also make a complaint to the BBB in their headquarter state.

I saw this on one of the babycenter boards and thought you guys would be interested to see it: Here's a link to the thread
Ladies, I just got off the phone with Dreamtime Baby after I got the dreaded cancel email, from Baby Universe and tried ordering again. As soon as I explained the situation - that I had placed an order, but the product was no longer showing up on the site and was it backordered or what - the first words out of her mouth are, "Is this about the FP Baby Papasan Cradle Swing?" She told me that someone had incorrectly priced the swing on the website and that FP was not honoring it, so they had to cancel all the orders and issue refunds, and that they were mailing out letters with some sort of compensation. I asked her what kind, and she said "I think 15% off a future order"
I am beyond ****** at this point. I should have known that there was something up that it showed up on Dreamtime Baby at the same price, and that an ad for Dreamtime Baby was showing up on Baby Universe's website.

If you read though the thread, someone called FP directly and they said they have nothing to do with it, Dreamtime Baby sets the price once they buy it from FP and it's their issue. Seems like a lot of the Babycenter ladies are lodging BBB compliants as well as with their state attorney general.

Im filing iwth the BBB as well. Honestly with THIS many people out of a swing, I doubt they will stand by it and do anything about it, but I can sure complain!
