Those who have NYSHIP/Empire and saw Kofinas...
Have any of you seen Dr. Kofinas for bloodwork? I think I might be going to him for extensive bloodwork and I am think he is out of network for me. Can anyone tell me how $$ this might be, for visits too?

I have empire bcbs. I had my bloodwork done at quest and have not recd a bill to date. I have out of network coverage and all they charge me is my 30 dollar co-pay

Those who have NYSHIP/Empire and saw Kofinas...
I was told by Kofinas office that I have a $1k out of network deductible. They offered to take $100 from me per visit until I met that amount.
I'm not sure how testing works with that though

Yes, out of network. You have to satisfy your deductible first, according to your plan, then you forward the checks to them.

Should have mentioned that. I met my deductible from an out of network surgery this year. I will have to pay towards that come jan.
