Those who have thyroid issues and were on meds during pregnancy
How long after you had the baby did you wait to get your thyroid level rechecked? (In case meds dosage needs to be adjusted since no longer pregnant)

Re: Those who have thyroid issues and were on meds during pregnancy
My on checked my blood 3 months post partum. I just had a physical (6 months pp) and she did blood work. Edit to add that my dose increased while pregnant and both post partum checks showed I still need to be on the increased amount

Re: Those who have thyroid issues and were on meds during pregnancy
my endo had me come in 8 weeks after I gave birth. enough time (in his opinion) for my body to somewhat regulate to a new normal postpartum.

Re: Those who have thyroid issues and were on meds during pregnancy
I went like 7mos pp because my rx ran out. My dosage stayed the same before during and after pregnancy.
However my tsh level during preg was a 0.68 at one time and after preg was a 2.4 which is abt where is was prior to pregnancy. Dr kept me on 50mg the whole time though.
I was surprised it dropped and I didn't need a higher dosage bc that's what I always heard happened.
I have hashimotos.
