transitioning to 1 nap

my dd is just about 10 months old. THings have been really really crazy and out of sorts with us spending so much time at the new house fixing it up so naps have gone out the window. ive tried to put her downbut she just screams and screams prob because its a new environment. bedtime hasnt changed. But trying to get her down for a nap even when were at home (our apt we've been living in that shes used to) she still wont go down for her 9-930am nap. but she will take close to a 3 hour nap around 11-1130. i feel like she absolutely definately needs 2 naps she gets very very cranky and can barely keep her eyes open.

When did your dc transition to 1 nap a day?

what time was that nap?

Re: transitioning to 1 nap

I was wondering about the same thing.
My girls are 11 months and they nap at 10-11:30 and 3-4:30. They play great in the afternoon but if I don't put them in for their nap by 5 they are extremely fussy and it just makes the evening routine really difficult.
Our ped told us that the girls will let us know when they are ready for 1 nap. She said it usually happens just after they turn 1.
Sorry I wasn't any help.

This is exactly Mason. He's 11 months as well and takes those two naps like your DD's.

Only gets one nap if we're running errands and off schedule, but he'll take little catnaps here and there.

Re: transitioning to 1 nap

DD transitioned to one nap at 11 months - she started taking a 2 - 2.5 hour nap then which was great.

She just refused her morning nap and thats when I knew it was over!
