I would not vote for him but I have to say that I agree with a LOT of the points he brought up about America, the economy, etc. during his Today interview this morning.

Well said, I agree.

I second that one.

He's not nearly as successful a business man as his PR people are at making him look like one. I hope people will research what the business community REALLY thinks of him rather than just buying his hype and soundbites.

Seriously people, Donald Trump?

The man knows how to make money for himself. The man knows how to build real estate. The man knows all about publicity.

Tell me what he knows about running a country or a state or even a city. Tell me what he knows about foreign policy, besides the fact that he loves foreign women. Tell me what he knows about anything that doesn't involve Donald Trump.

I'm not saying the guy is an idiot, but a President he is NOT!

I think the novice we have in the White House has proven he knows nothing about what you list either.

Seems like Trump is the only 'candidate' with leadership qualities.

I love when people chalk up all of the problems of an entire nation to a man who has been in the office for only 2 years. We forget that when he took over, this country was already in massive trouble and in 2 years NOBODY is gonna be able to turn that around.

So fine, let's make an even bigger mistake, by putting someone with even less political experience than the current novice, in office.

Just look at this Cathie Black, former NYC Schools Chancellor, as a perfect example of someone who had great experience in the business world yet had no business running a school system. Success in one area does not always translate to success everywhere.

I was just going to say the SAME thing!!!! Our current president doesn't know anything about running a city or state because he never did and I think he knows even less about foreign policy.

I hate to say it, but people voted Obama in for the wrong reasons, so they would be a part of history. Now he is making history for an entirely different reason and his popularity has decreased dramatically.

ITTTTTA. Also everyone says Trump is such a successful businessman...ummm not really. He started out with Daddy's money, got a great education at Wharton on Daddy's dime, then ran the business into the ground within 20 years, claiming bankruptcy because he tried to rapidly expand his business model.

He cheated on his wife, then married that woman, then divorcing her and marrying a younger, newer model.

Now he runs an asylum of washed up celebrities and gets them to viciously attack each other for ratings and advertising dollars.

And this may be shallow, but THAT HAIR!!!! UGHHHHHH

Did you ever think that maybe some people voted for Obama for the same reasons that some people say they would vote for Trump...being the lesser of two evils. Look at who Obama ran against. If McCain/Palin were the best candidates that the Republicans could put forth then they deserved to lose. The ridiculous two party system in this country is what forces us to choose between shooting ourselves in the head or slowly bleeding to death.

You know what, yes, the country was in the toilet when he was elected. Did he promise to fix everything as soon as he got in? Yes. CHANGE! Whoohoo yeah. Ok so the country got swept up in the hype (I didn't but that's ok). Ok he's had 2 years to do something. We're still in the toilet. Is it entirely his fault? Maybe. The buck stops with him u know. Does Congress suk? Yes. Of course its not cut and dried.

That being said, we've now entered Obama's war in Libya. For humanitarian reasons he says. Hmmmm. I think about Darfur. I think about North Korea. Where is the US humanitarian effort in those places? Not to mention Obama may have used the military in an unconstitutional way:

"Declared candidate Obama in 2007: “The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation." Hmm how quickly he forgets his own words. I'm sorry this is not leadership.

It's all a crock, and i'm not buying what Obama is selling.

Re: Trump running for President

I don't think he has a chance...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump

Trump had switched to the Democratic Party from the Republican Party in 2001 and again registered as a Republican in 2009.[63] Trump said in an interview in 2007, "I'm very much independent in that way. I go for the person, not necessarily the party. I mean, I vote for Republicans and I vote for Democrats."[64]

Since the 1990 U.S. elections, Trump contributed to the campaigns of both Republicans, such as John McCain, Rudolph Giuliani, Newt Gingrich, and George W. Bush[65] and such Democratic Party candidates as Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Tom Daschle, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Rahm Emanuel, Hillary Clinton, Anthony Weiner, Charles Schumer, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Charles Rangel.

Which party is going to take on a candidate that could jump to the "other side" at a moment's notice?

Even if that represents the more typical American citizen, the parties are going to want dedicated party liners to be their figurehead..

Also, if you look at his Wikipedia page, he's not that great of a businessman.... if you have a lot of money, and have a big name, and you gamble on everything, there's a good chance that you may win slightly more than you lose, and if you gamble enough money, you'll make a big profit.

However, I really don't want a high-roller 51% success rate gambler running my country.... Chat Icon

Black wasn't even given a chance.

As for Obama, he's Bush-lite. He ran on one set of promises but for the most part is following the policies he ran against.

What experience did Obama have? He was a nobody and was a vote for change. How can Trump do any worse. He will have advisors and has a lot more life experience then Obama. Obama has proven to be a joke! I am not saying that Trump is the answer but the last thing we need is more of what we have.

I would absolutely vote for him. It is about time we try something new, and having a business man in office would be a great thing. It would be nice to have a president with some balls. Our president is awful now, so I don't think it could get any worse.

Wow -- I actually agree with you on this one! Chat Icon

Me tooooo! ITA I think a business man would do a lot for us.
I wish Ron Paul would take a crack at it again. He is a smart man with tons of common sense which is what the government lacks. It sad that he never stood a chance because he lacks the financial backing.
