Tyra show today is on TTC!
It's from 4-5 on Channel 11. I'm a little  because it's Tyra but maybe it will have something interesting!

ETA: I don't know how I feel about that nurse revealing their results of their tests right on TV like that. Yea it worked out well for them because their results were all normal....... but what if they weren't? What if the results revealed she had something very wrong with her fertility? (or with his.....)
I just feel like it trivialized their situation. It's not a paternity test! It's a couple's fertility!!  Anyone else?

this dr. keeps pushing IVF, but just said it was expensive...what about for those of who who don't have the IVF option? I think I'm waiting to hear the miracle answer, on Tyra no less

i peaked briefly and she looks like she is getting ready for a space mission! I can't stand her!
I am going to sit and watch it now...........wanted to finish some work before i sat down and really concentrated on it. For those of you who are saying it's upsetting, I'm not suprised. Tyra is definatly not Oprah..................She's more like Maury Povich. I can't see her doing a truly informative show. She's all about the drama, etc.

* alcohol effects fertility, so don't drink while TTC   this TTC thing blows
* BD every other day is "just as effective" as everyday
* riding a bike a lot isn't good for men
* You can't time BDing to choose the sex of the baby

I think we could of all done a better job as a panel for this show. I really hope women watching this have other resources like LIF to get better info from. Some write Tyra a letter and tell her we want to come on.

The last time I went to the RE he used water on the internal sonogram wand because he said that the water wouldn't mess with any living sperm like the regular lube for it would.
So that might be the only useful information that came from Tyra. Although pre-seed or pre-concieve might work better...

things to eat or not to eat:
Yes to turkey burger, no to BLT (high saturated fat)
Yes to veggies & beans
Yes to pasta, loaded with folic acid and anti oxidants
Yes to whole milk, no to skim or 2% b/c the fat is necessary
Yes to dark chocolate, antioxidants
Stay away from refined sugar
All the above in "cooking to conceive" book by Kim Hahn
Now lets eat!

* Men have to eat fruit to increase sperm
* Don't let your men use lap top on lap, too much heat isn't good for sperm

No to skim, and even 2% because the fat is necessary? ... Is this only if you are underweight? ......
I drink skim, but get plenty of fat from cookie, cake and ice cream!
