glad you are home and OK now.
did you ever get a beta from yesterday? did they remove anything with the d&c? was it actually ectopic without having done the lap? i just hope you got some answers!!

Get some rest these 2 months, God knows you deserve it. Your body, mind and soul really need it. You can finally put all this behind you now and look into the future for new hope and success! I've heard some amazing things about Dr T at SIRM!

I'm so happy to hear that A) you are taking a break and B) that you are changing practices. You definitely need a break and a change. You know I'm a fan of Dr B but its def time for you to move on.

Wow. That's all I can say.

Rest assured that the hardest part is OVER and you can now focus on this forced break and moving forward. That experience sounds CRAZY!

One good thing is how compassionate you mentioned all the staff was. That helps an unimaginable amount!!!!!!!! When I went for my D&E I felt like I had to remind people what I was there for, and I never met a colder group of heartless medical people from the drs to the nurses- and that was at Mt.Sinai where they are supposed to have such a good reputation! So, what I mean to say is, I'm glad that despite all the torture, the staff was very kind to you because it makes a world of differerence!!

I am so glad to see you are home and hopefully are taking the rest of the week off to rest up.

Yesterday my beta was 1800, it only went up 100., no where near doubled. It was NOT ectopic, it was in utero ONLY. Dr. B never gave me any "ollow up instructions, but im guessing i need another beta to cofirm it dropping.

Dr. P said he will be sending it off to a lab for tests, and i should get the results in 3 weeks.

I'm sorry for your loss Dr. P is a great doctor. I have been his patient for about 10 years now. There is always a wait to see him but it is well worth it.

If they found enough tissue to analyze be prepared for the results. My sister had called for her results a few years back and they told her is was 47xy with an extra #4 chromosome. She knew the baby was not compatible with life and was prepared for that but was not aware she would find out the sex. It made her grieve all over again knowing the sex.

Good luck for your next cycle after the break

Just wanted to say that I am so sorry that you had to go through this but at the same time relieved for you that you can now move on. I also wanted to say that I am a patient of Dr. T and will be doing my very first IVf with him at the end of this month. my god, i can't believe what you had to go through yesterday! you poor thing. i'm glad you felt good with Dr P, but what a struggle to get there!

i think a break from all of this for a few months will hopefully put all of this behind you, and you guys can move on to a new successful cycle

I can't believe all you went through in reference to getting this D&C. I had one and it was nothing like this with scheduling, etc.

Hopefully after your break you will be back on track to your miracle!!! IT will happen. Sometimes this journey is a bit longer and more difficult then expected.

So sorry this had to be such a harrowing ordeal rigth until the bitter end. I have to say Good Sam is awesome (had surgery there in May) and am glad they could be your silver lining in all of this.
I am happy you are home and on the road to recovery. I think taking a break will do wonders for your body and soul...and should go quick with the holidays!
Feel better and enjoy your break. Have a few drinks! You deserve it!!

I too am a patient of Dr. P. Although I met him on a Monday and had my D&C on a Wed! I've had a couple of D&C's at Good Sam and yes, the nursers were very supportive. So I'm glad you had a good experience there. I'm disappointed that Dr. B is parlty to blame for that crappy day you had. I know from experience, Dr. Pill's office schedules everything with the hospital. In fact, you will receive a call from the hospital to let you know what time to come in because their OR schedule sometimes changes.

Glad you are able to take a break. I hope youre new beginning in January is the start to something great!

I can't believe what torture you went through for something that was already so devastating.

I am very disappointed to see that Dr. B's office was at least partially responsible for all of the confusion. I think it's great that you're going to be getting a new start with a new doctor.

Even though it's a forced break, try to relax and enjoy it. It's so good for your mental health.

Take good care of yourself. When you're feeling up to it, schedule a spa day and just let yourself be pampered.
