i've done a lot of research on steam mops myself and it seems the bissell scores better overall compared to the shark. i never really liked the shark products to begin with. i have always used this site for reviews.

I might have to go to Home Depot this weekend & check it out. My floors are a nightmare to clean. My mom & I scrubbed them on our hands & knees on Easter & it was a PIA!!!

Wow, everyone was out when I checked at 6:30 this morning, now both places have them.
You can get the 4 pads at amazon with free shipping - if you bundle the extra 2 pads with the unit it comes to $89 (the same price as HSN), just the unit with 2 pads is $79

HSN had two one is Blue while the other is Green. I have the Green model sold right now at Home Depot...

Here's more info about the blue one... This one may even be a little better...
This model is the 18678 "Blue" is identical in features to the 1867-7 "Green" Bissell, except it has three upgrades: a 22' cord instead of a 16' cord; New light blue color and a handy hook for hanging this very lightweight cleaner!

I have the Shark and I don't really have any complaints, other than the pad just doesn't seem to get very clean in the washing machine. That and the cord isn't very long. It does a good job though! I use it on my hardwood, laminate and in the bathrooms.

I know what you mean... My pads were black after I steamed the kitchen floor...

A few FM's about asking about the Bissell so I'm going to bump this for everyone.
So if anymore else bought one leave your 2 cents here
I now steam once a week and so far the Bissell has been great

I picked up the blue bissel with the 22' cord from HSN and loooove it! I am very impressed with how well it cleans the floors.
My parents asked to borrow it so they could test it out and now they are ordering one too.
See what you started Acerone? Are you sure you aren't a plant from the Bissell company
